THE CAA ANNUAL OPEN TOURNAMENT  (2024 Entry form)

The CAA annual open tournament is a time to bowl with friends and a time to make new ones through our Association.  Bowling in different centers, some that you may never normally have reason to go to, offers a unique challenge to bowlers of all skill levels and gives you the opportunity to experience a tournament environment.  The CAA annual open tournament is a wonderful opportunity to view and compete against some of the best bowlers in our area and no doubt some of the best in the state!

ANNUAL YOUTH TOURNAMENT  (2022 Entry form)

Usually held in November of each year, this Youth tournament offers many of the same experiences and challenges that the Adult Open Tournament does — the only difference being — instead of prize money, we offer scholarships to our junior bowlers.  These scholarships are awarded to our Team winners for each year, through four different average divisions.  Our yearly awards banquet is held in May of each year.

ANNUAL ADULT/CHILD TOURNAMENT

The CAA Adult/Child (aka “Generation Gap”) tournament is typically held in January of each year — where each team must consist of a combination of one adult bowler and one junior bowler — and both must be sanctioned in the CAA USBC.  This fun tournament offers the great opportunity for coaches, parents, family and friends to bowl with their favorite junior bowler, be it their son, daughter, niece, nephew, protégé or just a close family friend.  This event is a great opportunity for young and old bowlers to work together on the lanes in this team tournament event.  For our first place winners, scholarship money is handed out to the Youth bowler.

SENIOR DoubleS/singles  (2024 ENTRY FORM)

Normally held each October, this tournament is for those bowlers in the association 50 years of age and older (As of August 1st of each year).  Four divisions based on average, the tournament is sanctioned and held in it’s entirety on one weekend.

annual womens open tournament  (2023 ENTRY FORM)

BVL (BOWLERS TO VETERANS LINK) TOURNAMENT (2022 entry form)

The Bowlers to Veterans Link (BVL) is a national nonprofit charity.  It was founded in 1942 by a group of caring and concerned bowlers who promised “we will not forget the sacrifices of America’s service men and women.”

BVL dollars are used to enhance the quality of life for active duty service men and women, Reservists, and veterans in a variety of settings — on the front lines throughout the world and at VA Hospitals, Outpatient clinics, Vet Centers and State Veterans Homes.   BVL grants provide arts and crafts programs, music and sports activities, reading materials, games, special events and much more.  BVL responds to the needs of service men and women on active duty, recuperating veterans, veterans suffering from PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) and aging veterans — giving them an outlet for the joy, freedom and friendship that recreation, sports and the arts can bring.

There are BVL programs in more than 1,200 communties throughout the U.S.   America’s bowlers currently raise about $1 million annually through special tournaments, raffles and individual donations.

BVL was created by the sport of bowling and it has the longest on-going relationship with the sport than any other charitable organization.  For more than 60 years, the sport of bowling has been working in support of the BVL mission.

Money raised through the BVL purchase the following:

In-room recreational activities — televisions, videos, books, magazines, radios, arts and crafts kits, card games, etc.

Group recreations programs — billiard tables, musical instruments, supplies for day rooms, plants and gardening equipment, sports equipment

Sponsorship of special events and outings — trips to ballparks, museums, military and veteran ceremonial/remembrance events

“Bowlers Salute America’s Troops” carpet bowling lane kits.  These mini-bowling centers in a kit are shipped to active duty troops on the front lines, so they can enjoy a slice of home AND our favorite sport.   Over 500 kits have been sent to our troops to date.
